Government officials from Moldova will visit Zagreb later this month to see best practice of social inclusion in action.
CAE Validus is organizing a three-day study visit for six Local Public Administration and Social Assistance Department representatives from Moldova. The main objective of this study visit is to share API’s knowledge about best practice social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. It will also be an opportunity to raise awareness about developing community services for people with disabilities and show the advantages living in the community as opposed to an institution.
The group will be joined by two members of Keystone Human Services International Moldova, an organization which promotes and supports the social inclusion of people living in difficult social situations, as well as those with disabilities. The group will visit organized housing in Zagreb; the Centre for Inclusive Work Activities; the Association for Self-Advocacy; the Center for Inclusion and Social Services in Bjelovar and Grubišno Polje. They are also scheduled to meet with representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Youth.
