On November 4th and 5th 2013, the Association for Promoting Inclusion (API) organized the second module of training on person-centered planning within the framework of the European project “New Path to Inclusion Network“. Representatives from several NGO’s, the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth, residential institutions, the Centers for Social Welfare and several people with intellectual disabilities with their assistants participated in the training.
In the second module, the participants were introduced to the principles and values of person-centered thinking and a range of tools that are helpful in getting to know the person and understanding how the person needs to be supported. During the training the participants were able to gain better understanding of the tools through various exercises leading to the development of person-centered thinking. The training was led by Julie Lunt – trainer in the project “New Path to Inclusion Network” from Great Britain with the facilitation and support from Bojana Rozman and Slavenka Martinovic.
