On September 4th and 5th, 2014 CAE Validus carried out the second workshop in a series of professional training workshops on “Person-centered planning – creating a better future for persons with intellectual disabilities”. The participants were representatives of the Centre for the Rehabilitation Zagreb, Centre for Rehabilitation Rijeka, Centre for Rehabilitation Ozalj, Centre for Inclusive Support Slavonski Brod, Home for Mental Persons Osijek and professional staff of the Association for Promoting Inclusion and Validus.
The workshop was designed to give the participants the opportunity to present the MAPs they facilitated and discuss issues they experienced in the process. Furthermore, we discussed potential strategies and skills to integrate persons with intellectual disabilities within the local community. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Bojana Rozman and Slavenka Martinović.
