The Person-Centered Planing – Module II

During September 18-19, 2014, CAE Validus has pleasure of hosting the expert trainers from US-based organization Neighbours Inc. – Patti Scott and David Hasbury. The aim of their visit was the second module of professional training on “Person centered planning – creating a better future for people with intellectual disabilities” which they conducted in cooperation with expert trainer Bojana Rozman, PhD.

The second module was focused on PATH (Planning Alternative Tomorrow with Hope – PATH) – a technique of planning steps and activities in order to achieve goals in life. PATH is a process that helps a person become aware of what does one really wants for oneself and how to achieve it. In addition to the theoretical lectures and demonstrations of the PATH process, the participants had the opportunity to practice all the roles in this process.

The participants of this four-day training were again the representatives from the Centre for Rehabilitation Zagreb, Centre for Rehabilitation Rijeka, Centre for Rehabilitation Ozalj, Centre for Inclusive Support Slavonski Brod, Home for Mental Persons Osijek and professional staff of the Association for Promoting Inclusion and CAE Validus.
