On May 6-7, 2016, COO Validus carried out the last workshop in the professional training on “Person-Centered Planning – Creating a Better Future for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities”. Representatives from the Centre for Community Supported Service Provision Ozalj, Centre for Inclusive Work Activities, Centre for Community Supported Service Provision Osijek – „JA kao TI“, Centre for Inclusive Support Slavonski Brod, Association Latica, Centre for Inclusion and Social Services Bjelovar/Grubišno Polje and Association for Promoting Inclusion with its subsidiaries from Šibenik and Sisak participated in the two-day workshop. This workshop marked the completion of the professional training which was conducted in the period from November 2015 to mid-May 2016. The training was implemented in cooperation with experts from the US-based organization Neighbours International and associate trainers from Validus.
Mistakes in making PATH were noticed through a joint discussion with the trainer in order to learn and new ideas and tips were discovered on how-to better make preparation for the planning.
All participants successfully gained an understanding of person-centered planning and graphic facilitation using the MAP and PATH planning tools. Upon completion of the training, the participants received certificates of attendance.
