Prof. Borka Teodorović, PhD, Education and Rehabilitation Sciences

Founder and the President of the Association for Promoting Inclusion, the leading organization in Croatia in the development of community-based services for people with intellectual disabilities. Prof. Teodorović has over 40 years of professional experience in the social welfare field, with extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation of social services as the director of numerous projects at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Zagreb. She has extensive experience in organizational development, including designing, planning, developing and operating community-based supports and services. This includes key aspects such as strategic planning, human resources development, and change management. For many years Prof. Teodorović has worked with national governments, ministries and social welfare institutions in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Macedonia on systemic reform and community-based service development. She has developed and/or participated in the implementation over 50 national and international training programs related to community-based service provision, deinstitutionalization, social inclusion and person-centered service provision.
