More than 30 years of experience in the field of social welfare, working on different positions and functions in Croatia and abroad. She gained her vast experience in the field as a trainer/educator and certified supervisor. Slavenka implemented and developed many educational programs, and worked as a World Bank consultant on projects in the field of social welfare reform as well as the Head of the Department for Quality Management and Service Development for the Association for Promoting Inclusion. Since mid 2013 till 2017 she was the director and manager of CAE Validus as well as trainer in many certified and professional development trainings. As a manager she managed the entire teaching process as well as other professional pedagogical and andragogical activities in carrying out and creating new education programs. Her fields of interest include communication, psychological needs, coping with challenging behaviors (gentle teaching), person-centered planning, active support, etc.
