"Support network for independent living " by Center for community services Ozalj

The goal of the project is to improve access to community living to people with intellectual disabilities and children with developmental issues in Karlovac county. This is expected to contribute to social inclusivity of people with disabilities in Croatia.

Activities:

— For the purpose of providing the organized living service to 37 people with intellectual disabilities, 29 assistants will be educated and employed.
— 15 people with intellectual disabilities will be included into work activities. A simple-to-use mobile app will be developed to serve as an assistance/reminder during the performance of work activities and everyday life. 16 mobile phones will be provided to the users for the purpose of using the mobile app.
— 15 children with developmenta issues and their families will be provided with early intervention service and 15 children with developmenta issues and their families will be provided with psychosocial support. For the purpose of providing said service, two educational rehabilitators and speech therapist will be hired. Required floor space will be secured. 10 experts will be educated in the field of early intervention, 30 experts will receive transitional and mentor support with early intervention. Didactic equipment and materials will be procured.
— Early community intervention will be promoted (6500 pamphlets will be distributed in maternity hospitals, health centers, pediatric clinics...) 30 experts will be educated in the use of "Ages@Stages" tool. Two rounds tables centered on early intervention will be organized.
